With Coventry celebrating its year as the UK City of Culture in 2021/22, we were proud to see our city take centre stage, and for arts and creativity to be playing such an important part in improving the city’s health and wellbeing.
We wanted our Hope Programme participants, facilitators and supporters to have their chance to be at the centre of it. From that, HopePunk was born.
In April 2022, 42 artists have formed the HopePunk Collective to showcase over 167 artworks expressing what hope means to them, highlighting the emotional rollercoaster that comes with living with a chronic illness, looking after a loved one or just trying to get by. Taking over 2 floors of the fantastic space that is LTB Showrooms in Coventry, 250 people visited the event over the weekend.

Following the successful weekend, in October 2022, we took HopePunk on tour to Coventry market hosted by our friends Sitting Rooms of Culture, displaying selection of the works, celebrating people overcoming health challenges with action, creativity and hope.
